Exemplify being lifelong learners
Exemplify the IB Learner Profile traits
Give their best effort (ask for help when needed!)
Submit all work in a timely manner and stay up to date with the Westwood IB DP Student Calendar posted on the WHS IB Website
Read all communication from the IB Coordinator and respond within the requested time frame (will be sent via email, text and Schoology)
Uphold the RRISD Student Code of Conduct
Uphold the Westwood Academic Integrity Policy
Meet all internal deadlines and checkpoints for assessments (IAs, EEs, CAS, TOK)
These checkpoints are in place for two reasons: 1) to provide a time and space for students to reflect on their work, check-in with a faculty member to get feedback, ask any questions, and get guidance and approval so that they are setup for success on these assessments and 2) to ensure that we are are following all policies set forth by IB with regards to authenticating student work which requires us to set internal deadlines and meet with students regularly along the process.
Students missing the disqualification checkpoints will be able to remain in their other IB courses as a course candidate but will not be eligible for the full IB Diploma as the missing component is a non-submission for that course which is a failing condition
Complete and submit their own authentic work
All IB Assessments (IAs, EE, etc) will be submitted through Turn It In as all work that is formally submitted to IB must be authenticated by the school
Turn It In must not return a similarity report of greater than 20% for the work to be considered authentic and be able to officially be submitted to IB
Students will be expected to share all documents with their teachers and the IB coordinator as requested in order for us to monitor their edit history
Academic Dishonesty is not tolerated by the IB Organization. IB Policy dictates that academic dishonesty will result in dismissal from the IB Program
Maintain good standing within the IB Programme
Academic: through earning passing grades at all progress reports and report cards; submitting authentic work; meeting all deadlines
