Identity, Social organization.
What topics are covered in HL (year 2)?
Identity, experiences, Human ingenuity and sharing the planet.
What makes your class unique?
No judging: no right or wrong opinions. In IB Chinese students have opportunities to express their view points and opinions under only one condition -- School appropriate.
How much homework is required in your class?
10 - 20 minutes per day. Generally the reading, listening and writing are done in class (to avoid using dictionary or any outside helper). vocabulary review and speaking maybe done at home.
What is your favorite thing about teaching IB?
Students in IB level means their language proficiency is high enough to be able to express themselves clearly. fun to see all the students expressing their opinions in the target language.
Which AP test does your IB Course align with? What percentage of the AP test is covered in your course. Please list topics students would need to self study if they choose to also challenge the AP exam.
About 90%. The theme of “Beauty & Aesthetics" may has some difference with IB themes. Students who take IB Chinese are able to take AP exam.
