If you are serving as a new supervisor to full-time or part-time employees, you will be added to Rio's Supervisor Google Group: DL-Rio Supervisors
You will also be enrolled in a series of Supervisor Training coursework (see courses below).
Required coursework and due dates can be found in the Employee Learn Center (ELC) under My Learning > My Learning Plans > MCCCD Leadership Foundations Development Plan.
As a new employee serving in a supervisory role, you will be enrolled in a District Supervisor Training.
Center for Employee & Organizational Development (CEOD) launched the Maricopa Supervisor 101 On-boarding Training Series for new supervisors beginning September 1st, 2021. The following courses are designed to ensure new supervisors have the necessary knowledge and skills to be successful on day one:

Budgeting 101
Complaints and Concerns 101
Compensation & Classification 101
Employee Performance and Development 101
Employee Recruitment and Selection 101
Mediation Center/Conflict Resolution 101
Procurement 101

Working Together: Helping Struggling Employees Get Back on Track
Each new supervisor will automatically be enrolled in the on-boarding series, upon their start date, and will have 90 days to complete it. The courses will take approximately 30-60 minutes to complete depending on the learner’s experience with online learning. Each course requires successful completion of the course Final Quiz to receive credit. Supervisors can download a certificate of completion upon successful completion of all courses in the series.
Complete the supervisor program within six months of the start of your new supervisory role.
You can start taking these courses right away and do not have to wait until the Principles workshop is complete.
The program consists of online and three in-person sessions, for a total of 12 sessions.
