Wind Blows
Second grade has enjoyed learning about the wind and the air. Students have learned that air surrounds us and takes up space, and we feel it when the wind blows! Some things that we have talked about are the force and the motion of the wind, and also we have learned a lot about the wind's kinetic and potential energy. We know that wind can be useful in many ways too such as producing energy, sailing boats, and even drying drying clothes outside. Students enjoyed making pin wheels to test the force of the wind.
