Students learn digital citizenship skills to ensure that every student knows how to use digital tools with care for others, themselves, and their devices. With these skills, every student becomes proficient at collaborating, communicating, and solving-problems digitally, through authentic learning experiences that support their unique strengths, needs, and desired futures.
Digital Citizenship is intentionally taught to students at grades K-9 in Quincy School District. Grades K-8 use the Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship Curriculum.
Elementary: Students in grades K-5 learn digital citizenship in the library.
Middle School: Students in grades 6-8 learn digital citizenship in Advisory and core content classes in September according to the QMS Plan for Digital Citizenship.
