The Core Four Digital Education Tools were selected by a large team of K-12 staff, as well as family and student representatives. These common digital tools will:
simplify access to learning materials for families who may have multiple children in a variety of schools,
simplify communication from the school about how to access learning materials at home, and
provide deeper levels of in-district support and ongoing training for all staff.
Google Classroom is the homepage on student Chromebooks. Knowing that every click is an opportunity for a student to get lost, teachers will communicate through Google Classroom for all students. From there, the teacher may direct students to other websites specific to certain grade levels or content areas.
When staff meet with students virtually, this will happen via Google Meet, which is automatically linked directly within Google Classroom.
The district will provide comprehensive support to staff, students, and families to implement the Core Four Digital Tools for teaching and learning.
