Here at Esperanza High School, our Spanish Department is a strong team that dedicates much of our time and energy to the success of our students. We take pride in guiding our students to build a strong foundation which directly contributes to their strong comprehension, writing and speaking skills.

We offer a variety of classes, such as: 

• Spanish 1 (Novice)

• Spanish 2 (Low Intermediate- Intermediate)

• Spanish 2 Honors (Intermediate)

• Spanish 3 (High Intermediate)

• Spanish 3 Honors (High Intermediate-Low Advanced)

• Spanish Native Speakers 3 Honors (Advanced to Superior)

• AP Spanish Language & Culture (Advanced to Superior)

• AP Spanish Literature (Advanced to Superior)

Our teachers all have experience with the Spanish language and culture due to the fact that they are either Native Speakers and/or have had the opportunity to study and work abroad. Therefore, we not only bring language competency to the classroom but global and culture knowledge, as well.
