What is the Culinary Arts Pathway?
About Us!
The Culinary Arts Pathway is a 3-year pathway that introduces students to the fundamentals of cooking, baking, and food safety while preparing them for careers in the culinary and hospitality industries. Students begin with Intro to Culinary Arts, where they learn foundational cooking techniques, baking basics, nutrition, and food safety, and have the opportunity to earn their California Food Handler’s Certification. In Culinary Arts, students build on their cooking and baking skills while developing career-ready skills, exploring menu planning, and gaining experience in a work-based learning environment. The pathway culminates in Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, where students study food service operations, management, and entrepreneurship while continuing to strengthen professional skills needed for careers in the culinary and hospitality fields.
