The Senior Year Timeline serves as a strategic roadmap for Esperanza High School seniors. Starting in September, students begin the critical work of researching scholarships and requesting teacher recommendations, setting the stage for the October through December application window. This period is vital for completing FAFSA/Dream Act filings and submitting UC, CSU, and Common App applications.
As the new year begins, the focus shifts toward maintaining academic momentum and managing administrative details—from sending thank-you notes to recommenders in January to reviewing financial aid offers in the Spring. The journey culminates in May with the National Decision Day deadline and the final request for transcripts, marking the successful completion of their high school career and the beginning of their next chapter.
FAFSA & Application Openings: October 1
UC & CSU Application Deadline: December 1
