Tyler was a 3-sport athlete at PHS. He was a star baseball player for 4 years at PHS. He was 1st Team all-conference 4 years in a row and was named player of the year in the Marawood conference in 2005. As well as team MVP. Tyler was also a WBCA Baseball All-star selection his senior year. In football he was an all-conference quarterback in 2005-2006. He was a 2nd team all-conference basketball player. WIAA Scholar Athlete. Tyler went on to pitch for Winona State University for 4 years.
