Bill was an all-conference basketball and baseball player during his high school days at PHS.  He later went on to have an outstanding baseball career at UW-River Falls. He came back to coach for almost 20 years and took the Pittsville Baseball Team to State three times.  He is also the winningest baseball coach in Pittsville history. Bill is a member of the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame. Listed below are some of his accomplishments:

• Coached high school baseball for 25 years (371-170) record.

• 4 conference championships 

• 13 Regional Championships 

• 4 State qualifying teams

• 1 State runner up

• 3x Marawood Conference Coach of Year

• 2x District Coach of the Year

• Elected WBCA Wi State of Hall of Fame 2017

• 3x PHS Baseball MVP and All Conference

• 3x  All WSUC/WIAC player at UW-River Falls

• Winningest baseball coach in Pittsville history
