No one exemplifies what the Pittsville Hall of Fame represents more than Noel. He has dedicated almost 50 years to the athletic programs at Pittsville High School. First as a player then coach and athletic director.
Noel was one of the early stars in basketball, baseball, and track in the late 50’s and early 60’s. He later became a Physical Education teacher, coach of many sports and later Athletic Director at Pittsville High School. He coached the first ever Boy’s Basketball Ball team in school history to the State Tournament in 1990. He has many accomplishments as a player, coach and athletic director.

• Coached The 1990 Boys Basketball Team to State Tournament for Their First Ever Appearance
• 1991 Marawood Coach of the Year Boys Basketball.
• 3 Conference Championship in A Row Track: 1970-1973 And Many Other Years.
• Marawood Coach of the Year in Track
• Instrumental in Getting the New Track and Sports Tower Complex Built.
• Early Basketball Star of the Early 60's Held the School Record for Most Points and Single Game Scoring Record of 47 Until Broken by His Son Dan 30 Years Later.
• Outstanding Baseball Player of the Early 60's. Early Stars of The 1960's. Batted Over .500. Also an Outstanding Pitcher.
• All-Conference Player in both Basketball and Baseball
• Part of The 400 Meter State Relay Track Team in 1962
