Kelly is one of the most successful female athletes to come through Pittsville High School.  She was an All-State Volleyball player and led Pittsville to their first team state qualifier in school history, where they were the State Runner-up in 1986.  Kelly was also an all-state basketball player as well.  She later took her talents to play volleyball at St. Cloud State.

• Basketball first team Marawood conference 85-86, 86-87

• Basketball: WBCA North All-state All-star girls team 1987

• First team all-state coaches award 1987

• Channel 7 all-star award 1987

• Volleyball: all-state player was the first team (1986-1987)

• WIVCA (Wisconsin interscholastic VB coaching association team 1987

•Volleyball scholarship to St. Cloud State University

• Led Pittsville to a runner-up finish at the state tournament in 1986.
