Chad was also a 3 sports all-star athlete at Pittsville High School.  He was an all-state football player that led Pittsville to state in 1990 as a star running back.  He excelled on the basketball court as well as an important member of the 1990 state basketball team.  Chad’s biggest accomplishments came on the track at Pittsville where he still holds records in the 100 and 200-meter dash eclipsing records that were almost 20 years old. He was a state Track and Field Champ in the Triple Jump. Also at state in the 100 and 200-meter dash.  Chad went on to play football in the Big Ten at Northwestern University in Evanston.
