Energy is one of the most fundamental concepts not just for society, but in understanding how the world works. Energy can be created by a variety of different sources, and then used by others. In this section, students will learn about the different types of energy, and how those sources of energy can be used as sources of power. Students will examine two different types of power sources, renewable and nonrenewable energy, and compare and contrast the two. Ultimately, students will begin to focus on wind energy, and what causes the wind to blow. To conclude the section, students will begin to study aerodynamics and examine how the moving air impacts the objects it blows on.
