Through this activity we will continue to explore hydro power. There are many very important types of energy which impact power in the world around us. For hydropower we need to understand potential and kinetic.
Think of a ball being held above the ground it can fall a long way and has a lot of stored energy- this is potential energy.
As the ball falls towards the ground the potential energy switches to kinetic energy because it is in motion.
