The University of Bolton, Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust and Petroc have combined our strengths to deliver quality nursing education in North Devon.
On this exciting new course, you will learn an extensive range of nursing skills and techniques that will enable you to care effectively for adult patients in a variety of healthcare environments. This degree course explores the concepts of health and ill health within the adult population, and the key sciences in nursing, including the biosciences, psychology and sociology.
The modules covered on the course may include Caring and Compassionate Foundation Skills for Nursing Practice, Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology, Medicines Management, Contemporary Nursing Care for the Older Person, and, Palliative and End of Life Care.
You will spend 50% of your time in clinical practice placements at our partner Trust (Northern Devon) Healthcare NHS Trust) and will study at Petroc to complement and enhance your learning in the workplace.
You will be supported as you learn to care for adults with acute and long-term illnesses, in hospital and at home, and gain expertise in health promotion and disease prevention.
You’ll have access to interactive learning resources including our new Clinical Simulation Suite, where you’ll be able to practise skills and develop knowledge using clinical equipment and simulators.
