Friendship Skills

Connections matter

We are created for connections with others. Friendships matter! Being connected to friends who are a positive support helps promote resilience and a positive outlook on life. However like any skill, friendship skills sometimes take a little practice! On this page are programs that can help develop friendship skills, plus links to hints, tips and resources.

Sometimes students may need to talk to their teacher or Student Care and Wellbeing staff about friendship concerns. This is a normal part of growing-up because you are still learning the skills needed to solve problems on your own! When these friendship concerns are on-going or you feel like you just need some extra support, then a one-off friendship skills class could be a way to get the practice you need in some specific skills.

Contact the Student Care and Wellbeing Team to ask about whether a Friendship Masterclass may be right for you.

Resilient ME Program

Resilience helps us learn from our mistakes, deal with disappointment, face challenges with courage, resolve conflict, to bounce back and to persevere! Just like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, growing personal resilience is a process that takes time. Everybody navigates ‘highs’ and ‘lows’ on their life journey…but as we do, God is creating a beautiful picture (like a puzzle) to help us become “Resilient ME!” The program is divided into 6 weekly lessons.
