High school graduation requirements: Panyaden International School offers alternative pathways to graduation:
Full IB Diploma
Panyaden High School Diploma
Students pursuing the Panyaden High School Diploma can supplement their diploma by taking individual IB Diploma courses and receive credit toward their HS diploma. Either the IB Diploma or the Panyaden High School Diploma (or both) will allow students to move on to college/university study successfully. To receive an IB Diploma, students must satisfy all of the requirements of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) Diploma Programme. The requirements are detailed in the PYD IBDP Handbook.
While Panyaden will make predictions of students’ likely success/failure, the ultimate determination of successful completion of an IB Diploma will be determined by the IBO external assessment procedures. The Panyaden High School Diploma is determined and awarded by Panyaden based on our accreditation from WASC.
The requirements for a Panyaden High School Diploma are as follows, with a minimum of 38 credits usually earned over 4 years:
Years 10 and 11 (17 credits)

2 credits of Social Studies

Complete all requirements of the Pre-CAS (Year 10-11) and CAS (Year 12-13) programmes.
A minimum of 90% attendance for all high school courses is expected to meet the requirements of the HS diploma.
Credit recovery: For students who wish to earn a Panyaden high school diploma but are not on track to fulfil the credit requirements, Panyaden offers a credit recovery programme through an external partner. The determination of which credits must be recovered to receive the Panyaden high school diploma will be determined by Panyaden in consultation with the family.
