English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Panyaden International School is a multilingual community, and we offer an English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme for students in Year 7 to Year 11. Students who require additional English language support are identified through the admissions process and then placed in the EAL programme if required.

The EAL programme in the Secondary consists of English Acquisition classes taught by language acquisition specialists and co-taught classes across selected subject areas. In addition, students in the EAL programme also have a weekly extension period.

Students in the EAL programme are assessed regularly and families will receive an additional EAL report at the end of Term 1 and at the end of Term 2.

EAL services are provided for a fee, payable one term at a time. EAL fees are applied for up to six terms.
