[Fix]When sending a message in Moodle, the sender does not receive an email notification.

【Symptom】

When sending a message in Moodle, the message is sent to each recipient's email address, but with the upgrade to Moodle 2021, the Moodle specifications have been changed so that the sender does not receive an email notification.

【Solution】

• How to confirm if a message was sent  

　Select the speech bubble icon in the upper right corner to open the “Messages” screen. If there are messages under “Private,” the message was sent successfully.

• Alternative method for sending messages to all students enrolled in a course

　Instead of using the message function, posting in the “Announcements” section will send the message to all users registered in the course (including both students and teachers).

　The sender will also receive an email.

[Fix]Importing a course containing two or more activities or resources in a subsection causes an error.

【Symptoms】

　The following issues may occur when performing the following operations in a subsection.

1. You cannot import a course that contains two or more activities or resources in a subsection.

2. Even when all or some items are selected, an error occurs and activities or resources within the subsection cannot be imported.

【Cause】

1. Multiple subsections are created within a section.

2. Multiple activities or resources are created within a subsection.

【Countermeasure】

If you plan to perform import operations in the future, please manage activities or resources within sections without creating subsections.

* If you do not anticipate importing data, you can create subsections without any problems.

[Fix]Importing a quiz into a course may sometimes cause an error.

【Symptom】

When importing a quiz from a previous year's course into this year's course, the error shown in the figure on the right may occur.

【Cause】

This is because unnecessary HTML tags (such as <span lang="EN-US">) are included in the questions in the question bank.

【Solution】

From the screen for adding and editing questions, select “View” > “Source code” to display the source code in HTML format, then remove all HTML tags and save.

[Fix]When adding a question bank, more than 20 questions cannot be displayed in the list.

【Phenomenon】

When adding questions from the question bank during quizzes, the screen previously displayed 20 questions per page. However, the function to view all questions in a list has disappeared.

[Fix]When adding a question bank, the behavior of sorting in descending or ascending order is unstable.

【Phenomenon】

When adding questions from the question bank during a quiz, sorting by question type or question name in descending or ascending order causes the screen to become unstable, preventing the questions from being correctly rearranged.
