This section summarizes the updates and changes introduced in the Moodle update of March 2026.
We have confirmed an issue where assignments, quizzes, and other items are not displayed correctly in the "Timeline" on the Dashboard.
This phenomenon occurs when the display settings are set to "All" and "Sort by dates".
[Conditions for the issue to occur]
It has been confirmed that this issue occurs when any of the following conditions are met in a participating course. Additionally, there may be other conditions that cause this issue:
There is a Workshop module where the submission start date has been set within the past 14 days and no submission deadline has been set.
There is a questionnaire published within the past 14 days.
This is a system issue within Moodle. If you receive inquiries from students regarding this issue, please ask them to handle it using one of the following methods:
If they use "Sort by dates", ask them to set the [Deadline] option to something like "Next 3 months" instead of "All".
Ask them to change the sorting method from "Sort by dates" to "Sort by courses".
We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your cooperation.
Starting from the 2026 academic year, we introduce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Moodle logins to enhance security. Authentication using both Knowledge (something you know) and Possession (something you have) will be mandatory. You will be required to authenticate using either "Email" or an "Authenticator App." For more details, please refer to "15. Introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Moodle" in the Table of Contents.
Previous Specification:
Previously, when a user was unenrolled from the source course, they still remained in the target course with a "Suspended" status. Furthermore, users with the teacher role were unable to remove these "Suspended" users from the target course.
After the Update:
Following this update, when a user is unenrolled from the source course, they are now automatically removed from the merged course as well.

Previously, there was an issue of changes to a question order in a Feedback Activity were not saved. This has been resolved in the latest update.
When you reorder questions, a message stating "The question was moved" will appear at the top of the screen, and the new order will be saved automatically.
The issue students were unable to view all responses—even when it is set "Students can view ALL responses" in "After answering the questionnaire"—has been resolved.
In this update, the default value for "Students can view ALL responses" has been changed to "Never." Please adjust this setting using the dropdown menu as needed for your course.
⇒Regarding this specification, the implementation has been postponed. The start date will be announced separately.
Furthermore, prior to the implementation, regarding the survey response visibility settings, we kindly request that you review them in advance.
Note: When importing a Questionnaire from a previous academic year's course, the setting of "Students can view ALL responses" may retain as original value of that course. Please be aware that this may differ from the new default setting (Never) and check your settings accordingly.
