Three Axis of Movement
& Stability

An aircraft has three axis of movement (or three ways in which it moves). 




Pitch: lateral axis (forward and backward)


Roll (bank): longitudinal axis (right to left)


Yaw: vertical axis (up and down) 


Center of gravity is where the three pass through


Most stable type of aircraft is an airplane, less stable is a helicopter, while the least stable type of aircraft is a multicopter.
