For any aircraft to rise, they must generate lift.
Lift Process: An airfoil generates lift by exerting a downward force on the air as it flows past.
It’s a combination of effects that cause low pressure air above the wing and high pressure air below the wing.
How do you establish lift?: force of lift must equal the weight of the aircraft.
Destroys lift process: contaminants or obstructions on the wing
