Situational Awareness

Situational Awareness is key in avoiding accidents. Pilot crews must be physically and mentally prepared. Crews will also need to have procedures and strategies in place to prepare for flights.

Risk Management

Risk Management Strategies: using checklists/error tracks, identify risks, creating procedures to prevent or dealing with risks, being aware of obstacles and altitude of where flight begins.

Increase in company size should result in more details in Standard operating procedures.

Incident Reports: are used to report on issues that happened during flight and to update standard operating procedures

Automation: helps pilot to free their attention to focus on other details, but you must still account for the drain on battery and be mindful of what the RPAS is doing.
