Dr. Haitao Liu obtained his B.S. in 2001 from the University of Science and Technology of China and his Ph.D. in 2007 from UC Berkeley. He carried out postdoctoral research at Columbia University with Professor Louis Brus and Professor Colin Nuckolls. In 2010, he joined the University of Pittsburg, where he is currently a Full Professor and Chair of the Chemistry Department. His research interests focus on DNA-based nanofabrication and surface chemistry of graphitic carbon. In addition to supervising Ph.D. and undergraduate students conducting research in the lab, he also teach at both graduate and undergraduate levels, including physical chemistry and inorganic chemistry.Â
