Amy Wehrspann has over 25 years of progressively responsible and successful experience in the field of human resources (HR). She is currently the Director, HR, for the USA region at Hatch, a global engineering firm, and oversees a team of about a dozen HR employees. She has also worked in HR in the healthcare, financial services, higher education, and manufacturing industries.

Amy’s expertise is in managing human resources programs and practices to drive the accomplishment of business goals, increase employee engagement and retention, and create a work environment aligned with corporate values. She has experience with organizational and leadership development, change management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, recruiting, and more.

Amy earned a B.S. in Human Development & Behavioral Sciences and a Masters of Industrial & Labor Relations (MILR), both from Cornell University. She also holds an SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification and a SHRM-SCP (Society of Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional) designation.

Amy now resides in a northern suburb of Pittsburgh with her husband Steve and three children: Adam, Alex, and Sarah. She enjoys being outdoors, making beaded jewelry, water sports, yoga, and spending time with her family, including 2 German Shorthaired Pointers.
