Robin Taylor is an award-winning journalist who has spent more than two decades covering everything from Presidential campaigns to natural disasters. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a double major in Journalism and Political Science.
Before beginning her career in television, she worked for several radio stations as a news reporter covering local and state government.
Her first TV job was in a small market in Austin, Minnesota (Market size 147) where she anchored the morning news. From there, she moved to Rochester, New York (Market size 68) as a weekend anchor and reporter, where she covered an infamous serial killer, as well as government corruption, and medial news.
The next move was to Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Market size 28) as a morning anchor and reporter. Here she honed here live reporting skills, while working on long-form news magazine-style stories, as well as covering daily news.
In 1998, she moved to Philadelphia, the fourth largest market in the country, as a reporter and weekend morning anchor. During her time in Philadelphia, she covered breaking news, hurricanes and other natural disasters, and the September 11th terrorist attacks.
In 2010, Ms. Taylor accepted the job as an investigative reporter and consumer reporter at the NBC affiliated in Pittsburgh.
Robin Taylor has been nominated multiple times for Emmy awards for best reporting and best feature reporting. She won an Emmy for Best Newscast. Over the years, she has received numerous Associated Press awards for live reporting, investigative reporting, and breaking news. She also taught journalism at Temple University in Philadelphia.
