Greetings Families,
We are welcoming fall and all it's cooler weather eagerly here at Beck! These lower temperatures give students the chance to burn off that extra energy outdoors at recess.
Friday was a great Kick-off to our Bulldog Blitz fundraiser! Beck chooses to put this fundraiser on ourselves because we are able to keep 100% of funds raised. This means 100% goes back to our students! Did you know that any funds raised during fundraisers can only be used on items for students? This year, we are working to raise enough money to build an outdoor learning classroom. Since it will be contracted work, we should be able to start this project within the semester and it be completed for use the second semester!
You will get regular updates from me about how close we are to meeting our goal of $48,000. We have had a strong start already with 10% of our goal already earned!
How is the Blitz promoted at school?
Each day your child will bring home their envelopes. Any donations will be turned in each day and be returned with tickets. During your child's grade-level "Bulldog Blitz Store" shopping time, they will get to exchange their tickets for prizes.
Another way we promote the Blitz at school is by awarding classes for meeting donation goals that they are rewarded for in class. The awards are anything from getting to take off their shoes the whole day while in class to getting the chance to play board games for awhile on a Friday afternoon.
There are 6 fantastic awards for the teachers of the top earning classrooms!
AND the top earning 6 students will receive a great prize!
To celebrate our Bulldog Blitz our students will get to run the Bulldog Blitz obstacle course! We hope you heard about the 'Mini Blitz' course last Friday that students were able to run through. Our big Blitz celebration course will be held next week Friday, October 1st during your child's specials time.
We appreciate all that our families do to support Beck and make our school the best place to learn and grow!
Always True Blue,
Amanda Bunch
