Cheers Beck Families!
It's been an exciting last 2 weeks! Thank you for your participation and encouragement at home for our fundraiser. We were able to raise just over $54,000! We are looking forward to finalizing our outdoor learning space and will share our plans once completed and approved by our Facilities Department, then on to scheduling! I will continue to keep you posted about our outdoor classroom project and items the Bulldog Blitz has funded!
This Friday marks the end of our 1st Quarter. Please check your child's current progress on HAC. I encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher if you have any questions before Friday so there is time to support your student if something needs to be taken care of. Next week Tuesday is the first day we will have all students and teachers in person for the first time in over a year and a half! Beck has had 3 grade-levels providing one section of remote learning this year, those teachers will now have the opportunity to come back to in person learning. The shifting of teachers back to in person has allowed us to adjust our teacher to student ratios in 1st Grade, 3rd Grade, and 5th Grade. This is great news for our campus!
I wish you a great week!
Always True Blue,
Amanda Bunch

The dreaded red, which we've all seen throughout our education. The red marker used to highlight the mistakes with our work is all too familiar for dyslexics around the world. Dyslexia groups have chosen red in order to take back its meaning and globally promote dyslexia awareness in a fun and positive way. Join us in wearing red on Thursday, October 7th World Dyslexia Day to bring awareness.
Students will be dismissed at 11:40. We are planning to have our 1st house rally this day. Grade-levels will compete in a "Protect this House" activity with their house-mates. We look forward to our first house get together by grade-level!

Since arriving at Northwest ISD, Dr. Warren has championed initiatives that empower students to achieve personal success in their futures. Under his leadership, Northwest ISD has focused on key academic areas such as literacy as well as college, career, military and life readiness.
Northwest ISD has continued to expand under Dr. Warren’s guidance, with successful bond packages passed thanks to community support in 2017 and 2021. The district has added between about 1,000 to 2,000 students a year during his tenure as superintendent.
At their meeting, the Northwest ISD Board of Trustees expressed their appreciation to Dr. Warren for his commitment to district students and the community at large.
“There is no way to express enough thanks to you for giving my family and me the opportunity to serve the children, the staff and the families of NISD,” Dr. Warren wrote in his retirement letter to the board.
Dr. Warren came to Northwest ISD after serving as superintendent of Midland ISD, Marble Falls ISD, Crane ISD and Thorndale ISD. He was previously a teacher, coach and principal before advancing into district administration ranks.
With Dr. Warren’s retirement effective at the end of the 2021-2022 school year, trustees will soon search for the next superintendent of Northwest ISD. A tentative timeline includes selecting a search firm at an upcoming board meeting before interviewing applicants in the second semester. A lone finalist will be named in the spring, with a state-mandated 21-day waiting period to follow before that person is officially hired.
Northwest ISD will post details of the superintendent search as decisions are made. A superintendent search section of the district website will be created when more information is released by trustees about their process.
