Greetings families!
We have a special celebration to share with you all today! Last week, we received a message from U.S. News that Beck was recognized as one of the top 100 schools in the State of Texas. You can see our district communication below, as well as the official U.S. News rating report for Beck. We have received this distinction for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students academic performance on STAAR. I am so proud of our students and teachers for their hard work! Families, it is also a testament to your consistent encouragement of your children to to do their best and always try hard. We all share responsibility for this achievement!
Please read below for our upcoming opportunity for Watch D.O.G.S. to volunteer again starting Monday, November 8th. If you know you want to volunteer, but may not have a date at this time, I would recommend still filling out the volunteer background check form now so that you know you are clear and ready to go when the time comes.
Enjoy a great week!
Always True Blue,
Amanda Bunch

We’re continuing to see significant progress in the decrease of COVID cases in Northwest ISD and our campus! In light of this positive news, we’d like to remind you of the importance of regular attendance as we experience a more normal school year.
Being at school is the best environment for a child to keep pace with the academic schedule and ensure learning takes place. All students should achieve academic standards at or above the current grade level by the end of the school year, and regular attendance is the best way to accomplish that goal.
If your child is sick, please keep him or her at home! But healthy students should be at school. If your child has COVID, please be aware a doctor’s note is needed for any absences beyond 10 calendar days. For any students in this category, please keep our school updated so we can provide your child with appropriate academic materials in their absence.
We are excited to offer the opportunity for our Dad's of Great Students to volunteer back at Beck. If you are interested in volunteering, please select a date and time slot that you want to volunteer on the sign up. When you arrive at school on the date you've signed up for, please check in with the front office. They will sign you in and you will receive a schedule based on the grade-level of your student.
Watch D.O.G.S. schedules follow the schedule of your student for either the a.m. or p.m. time slot. While your student is in class, your child's teacher may have some tasks they would appreciate help with, we like to have our D.O.G.S. do a safety check around the building and report any needs to our Office Manager, and overall support students in class where needed.
Dads, please be sure you have already completed the online background check before signing up. A new background check is required for each school year.
Please note one change to Watch D.O.G.S., we now have time slots set up for 1/2 days, either 7:40-11:30am or 11:30-3:00pm.
As Clubs and other after-school activities are getting started again, we want to remind you to please complete the Transportation Change Form - specifically the start & end dates for your child attending the club/activity.
Come explore the fair and help your child find their next book!

Families, there is a shortage of menu items that Aramark is experiencing this year. They do not have the supplies to provide the Thanksgiving Meal option for all schools. This year, Beck will not have one of our menu options be the Thanksgiving Menu.
