Greetings families!

As we approach Thanksgiving and in the spirit of being Thankful, I would like to highlight several of the amazing things we have to be thankful for at Beck.

• Our amazing students and their always being willing to engage in hard things.

• Our teachers for their dedication to every student and helping them reach their best potential.

• Our specialists who provide specialized instruction and supports to students, always learning to best help all students.

• Our families that actively support their student and collaborate with their student's teachers.

• Our amazing PTA for promoting community engagement and always willing to support the school in any way possible!

• Strong partnerships with our families. There may be challenges we are overcoming at times, but we do it together.

• Our front office staff for all the questions they field and support they provide our families and our staff.

• Nurse Davis for helping answer questions and continuing to keep our school as healthy as possible.

• Mrs. Hill, our Counselor, her work to take care of the hearts and many feelings of our students is a calling she fulfills very well.

• Mrs. Martin, our Librarian, our library is a place of joy for so many students and she has cultivated a collection of books that allows all of our students to find themselves in the narrative (no easy task).

There are so many more highlights I could lift up! Help me keep the spirit of Thanks ignited, please take a moment this week to send a note of Thanks to anyone from the school or our PTA. Your kindness goes a long way to encourage and reinforce all of the hard work that is happening to make your child's learning experience as incredible as it can be.

December 16th and 17th- Holiday Parties (Grade-levels will communicate times in upcoming newsletters)

December 17th- Early release at 11:40

Watch D.O.G.S

When you sign up, you are signing up to be with one of your students for the morning or afternoon. If you have multiple Beck students you want to volunteer to be a Watch D.O.G.S. for, please sign up for each child at individual times.

Please be sure you have already completed the online background check before signing up. A new background check is required for each school year.

Please note one change to Watch D.O.G.S., we now have time slots set up for 1/2 days, either 7:40-11:30am or 11:30-3:00pm.
