Let's get this next amazing school year started!
Always True Blue,
Amanda Bunch
1st day- Doors will open at 7:15am. Parents are welcome to walk students to class the first day. Entrances at the front, north, 3rd grade hall, and 4th grade hall will be open. We recommend that you park at the Baseball Fields or Independence Park and walk down to the school as our parking is limited.
Rest of the School Year- Doors will open at 7:20am. Please follow the traffic flow directions in the picture below for car drop off, this is to ensure student safety and keep traffic moving. If walking or riding bikes, please use crosswalks and follow the crossing guard directions.
We are keeping more entrances open this year to accommodate student traffic in the building. This means we are splitting up our car lines based on which direction you are driving in from.
Depending on which direction you approach Beck on Parkview Lane will determine which entrance you take to drop off your child. If you are driving South on Parkview from Bobcat Blvd, you will enter Beck at our first entrance at the North side of the school (this is where we have always entered for arrivals/dismissals). You will also be directed to exit the parking lot going North on Parkview as well so we can manage traffic best.
If you approach Beck coming North on Parkview from Durango, you will be directed to enter the middle entrance. When exiting, you will be directed to go South on Parkview, again to help us manage traffic.
NOTE- Staff will not open car doors again this year. We are trademarking this, "Kiss and Go!" Staff will be dispersed along the sidewalks and entrances to support students and monitor safety measures. If your child needs help, we will absolutely help, however we are asking for your children to be independent and ready to go when exiting your vehicles.
1st Week- Some families may choose to pick up your child/ren differently than your usual pick-up plan these first 3 days. Please communicate your plan to your child's homeroom teacher/s. If you plan to walk with your student the first day, please plan to stay on the sidewalk just on the other side of the carline driveway, and we will dismiss siblings together (please remind older siblings to meet their younger sibling at the front flag pole) or we walk our younger kiddos to you. This has helped us keep a better eye on all of our students.
Rest of the School Year- Your child's homeroom teacher has asked you to fill out the regular dismissal plan. If any changes need to be made, please fill out the Transportation Change Form Here.
The North entrance-
All Kinder and 1st graders, along with any older siblings of these students, will be picked up from the North side entrance.
All 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be picked up from the front entrance (as we have done in the past).
Please have your car signs in your window. If you need one, we will give you one this week.
All walkers will dismiss from class and meet up siblings at 2:55 in the grass area in front of the school. As soon as students find their siblings or who they walk with, they are dismissed to walk to the crosswalk and head home.
