DATAtech.Studio is the lessons website for the Exploring Multimedia class at the Design And Technology Academy (DATA), located on the Ed White Middle School campus in San Antonio, Texas. Our magnet school focuses on Design and Media with 2 full-year computer classes at each of the three grade levels. 6th graders in this class learn to tackle unfamiliar software with wide-ranging projects such as image and video editing, vector graphics and animation, 3D modeling design and animation as well as coding apps for Android devices. Lessons are delivered in-person week by week and supported with video recordings of those lessons, screenshots and examples along with the written instructions and explanations of the tools and processes employed to create multimedia art that they display and document in an ongoing digital portfolio they publish using Google Sites.
