Your job will be to lead and keep the game consistent in its visual look and true to the theme. You will coordinate with your team to reinforce the theme in designing/developing all parts, instructions, and packaging.
Read post and start at "Put simply..."
Your job is to push the mechanics of the game to make playing it more interesting! It is also important that the mechanics of the game fit the theme. You will also be responsible for writing the manual and instructions.
After reading the post, research what types of objects can be developed in our studio and Makerspace. Your job is to lead your team with the development of at least three types of objects in your game that include a 3D modeled piece (game character pieces, turn taking pieces, scoring markers, etc) and a board. You will also lead the design and development of the box or container for selling your game.
Play a lot of games, notice how the mechanics support the progress of play and the theme of the game. TAKE NOTES of those that work effectively in your sketchbook and in Research so they might be an option for your game.
Make plans as to what you need to work on each day.
Meet at the beginning of every class to tell make plans for the day! Meet with your team for process feedback and critique as necessary and when Harper indicates.
Use your Illustrated Map as a starting point for the theme. Expand on it as necessary.
Due to limited time remaining in the school year, you will be working on your own game with the help of your team's support. Your goal is to have the board, playing pieces, gameplay, and mechanics designed as a "proposal."
Extra Credit if you can actually play the game.
