Goal:
Create a Fantasy or Science Fiction composite image using a combination of at least 4 images. the image has one part of the subject that is out of scale to the rest of the imagery. The viewer is viewer in, toward a focal point but are left wondering 'what am I looking at?!'
Starting Point:
Determine a demographic for whom you will design. List some characteristics of this demographic in your Research Doc ( age range, habits/hobbies, social networks, where they live).
Find a point of inspiration to start: a book, movie, TV show, etc.. Find a quote or create a phrase that will help you guide your design.
In your design teams (and on your own), brainstorm ideas. Sketch and write ideas in your sketchbook.
Process:
Gather high resolution images for your ideas - MUST BE FREE TO USE, SAVE ALL LINKS to validate your right to use your pictures! Pictures that are altered beyond recognition from the original may be used.
A digitally drawn element is allowed.
Must use Photoshop to edit/transform/alter at least 4 images. As much as possible, use non-destructive editing techniques (masking, smart objects, etc.). Use Blending Tools to integrate images together. Image should look "seamless" regarding light and continuity. Healing brush, eraser, etc only on copies.
Participate and record feedback in critique after first draft.
PS canvas should be 11" x 17", final image should be saved with 300 dpi
