Objectives:
Know how to develop a 'mood' or ''concept' board.
Be able to use factors for design by determining who the design is for, where the item will be sold, and what type of product is relevant to the consumer.
Understand that a design style is representative of the use of Elements and Principles of Design
Know how a ticker file is prepared using a cut line and be able to send a file correctly
Gather images that represent the subject of the stickers, the consumer and their lifestyle, the color story, and graphic style
Create a digital file (8.5" x 11") that can be printed to share with your design team
Present your idea to a small group of designers and ask for feedback that will support your vision
Listen to the concepts of the other designers and give them support by asking about what they are making.
Work with at least three artboards (4" x 4") and try many iterations of each design. Save your ideas on the 'pasteboard' (area outside the artboard)
Determine your three best designs that reinforce your theme and style.
Transfer them to a NEW FILE and keep the original file.
In the new file, Layer 1 is labelled image, Layer 2 is labelled CUT .
Use Pathfinder Unite and Path > Offset Path to create a cut line on the CUT Layer.
