Why do you do what you do?
The representation of sub-grid-scale convection in atmospheric models has long been poor. To improve this situation, I am working on multi-fluid modelling of convection. This involves a convection parameterisation at the heart of a dynamical core. This is much closer physics-dynamics coupling than has been used before and will enable mass transport by convection.
