I work on two projects. In PRIMAVERA, I study North Atlantic weather and climate, particularly storms and extreme precipitation, in observations and global climate models. I also work with industry using models to improve assessments of tropical cyclone risk in the southern Caribbean, where the observational record is relatively limited.
As well as purely scientific interest, I'm motivated by the potential contributions weather-resolving global climate models could make to developing societies’ resilience to global and regional change.
