Internship Placement
Internship Placement
The Nazareth University Art Therapy Clinic is one internship site, and there are additional local agencies that hold formal agreements with Nazareth to host art therapy interns. Nazareth faculty retains responsibility for oversight of all internship placements.
All internship placements must be approved by the Internship Coordinator. While students are welcome to explore options or express interest in particular sites, they must work directly with the Internship Coordinator throughout the process. Students are prohibited from independently arranging internships or negotiating placements with current students at affiliated sites. This ensures consistency, professionalism, and compliance with accreditation and university policies.
Internship placements are not automatic. Students must demonstrate readiness and professionalism, as evaluated through the professionalism rubric completed in ATR 501, to be approved for clinical placement.
