To begin this lesson I will read  from Big Book 6 and the story I chose was " Jabu scrambles eggs". I will read the paragraph I want my learners to be able to read. I will then show my learners pictures of the words that I outlined as difficult.  As conclusion the learners must draw a picture of Jabu going to the cafe, to show that they comprehend this. 

The video starts with the teacher reading the paragraph and pointing to each word as it is being read. The teacher then sounds out the complicated words for the learners and writes the words so that the learners can see these words written as well as hear the sounds and words. Each word is then explained. The teacher then explains that the learners must draw a picture of themselves going to the cafe in Jabu`s place and that they must get all the items Jabu`s mom asked for. 

Explanation of how I would teach the reading lesson. This digital story outlines what I intend to do in my lesson. Reading the paragraph, sounding out each word and explaining each difficult word to the learners. 

As an introduction to this lesson on transport I`m going to teach my learners a rhyme about trains, I will then ask my learner as few questions. After the discussion the learners must write 10 sentences about transport.  The learners must then complete a worksheet. As conclusion the learners will read their sentences to the class. 

The theme of this activity is farm animals. I will be guiding my learners through the writing process. I will have my learners follow the following steps: rehearsal, drafting, conferencing, revision, editing and publising. These steps are explained in great detail. 

This lesson was about antonyms. I integrated the life skills topic of the week (transport) into the lesson. The learners got a story and they had to search for the opposites in the story. I used the learners previous knowledge of synonyms to explain antonyms. I then had the learners identify the opposites. I then had four groups on the mat for varies activities and rotated the learners for each activity.
