The Academy of Creative Design and Entertainment is one of two Programs of Emphasis at Lake Brantley High School.
Capitalizing on Lake Brantley's unique characteristics - non-stop, exciting campus community, outstanding arts and athletics programs, and first-rate facilities - the Academy of Creative Design and Entertainment gives students the skills, tools, and opportunities to pursue their passions in creating original content and designs.
The Lake Brantley Academy of Creative Design and Entertainment (LB-ACDE) offers five unique programs:
3D Animation
Digital Audio Production
Digital Photography
Digital Video Production
Interior Design
LB-ACDE is built around one-of-a-kind Capstone Experiences that launch students into the industry and give them a head start down their chosen college and career paths.
This sequence of courses introduces students to the technical and creative skills for 3D Animation design.
Level 1 introduces students to what 3D Animation is and what it can accomplish. Students explore career paths involving 3D Animation - the obvious applications in TV, film, and video game production, as well as the less obvious applications, such as education and training, engineering, and visual arts. Students are expected to earn their Word Press Certified Editor certification and begin their digital professional portfolio.
Level 2 deepens students' understanding of the skills and technologies of the industry. They master Toon Boom Harmony animation software and begin working in Autodesk Maya.
Level 3 establishes students as skilled pre-professional designers, collaborating with their peers and campus-based clients on creating 3D animations to support school initiatives and projects. Students will master and earn their certification in Autodesk Maya.

Students who choose this opportunity serve as professional interns for both the campus community and outside business partners and non-profits. As interns, Level 4 students in this class collaborate with clients to understand their 3D Animation needs and produce original content for them.
Ambitious students with strong animation, collaboration, and communication skills are invited to join the Short Film Festival Studio course. They will work with a team of student designers from other tracks to create animated and/or live action short films for submission to the Lake Brantley Short Film Festival and other adjudication opportunities.
These courses introduce students to the technical and creative skills for Digital Audio Production.
Level 1 and 2 introduce students to what Digital Audio Production is and what it can accomplish. Students explore career paths involving Digital Audio Production - the obvious applications in popular music, podcasting, and video entertainment, as well as the less obvious applications, such as education and training, public service, and live event audio engineering.
All students are expected to take and pass the following industrial certifications:

Students who master the content of Level 2 are invited to continue their learning in the Digital Audio Studio by working on the Digital Audio campus projects, including the Patriot Podcast Network and Brantley Beats Music Channel. They collaborate with one another, as well as students and staff from across campus, including Lake Brantley Athletics, Performing Arts, and Leadership to keep the whole community informed through audio media.
Ambitious students with strong audio engineering, collaboration, and communication skills are invited to join the Short Film Festival Studio course. They will work with a team of student designers from other tracks to create animated and/or live action short films for submission to the Lake Brantley Short Film Festival and other adjudication opportunities.
These courses introduce students to the technical and creative skills for Digital Photography.
Level 1 and 2 introduce students to what Digital Photography is and what it can accomplish. Students explore career paths involving Digital Photography - the obvious applications in portraiture, nature and landscape photography, and photojournalism, as well as the less obvious applications, such as marketing, stop-motion animation, and scientific and legal documentation.

Students who master the content of Level 2 are invited to continue their learning in the Photo Studio. Together with their peers, they will operate the studio, photographing for a variety of purposes. They bring campus and community clients in for photoshoots, but are also assigned to attend campus events, including Performing Arts and Athletics events.
Ambitious students with strong photography, collaboration, and communication skills are invited to join the Short Film Festival Studio course. They will work with a team of student designers from other tracks to create animated and/or live action short films for submission to the Lake Brantley Short Film Festival and other adjudication opportunities.

These courses introduce students to the technical and creative skills for Digital Video Technology.
Level 1 and 2 introduce students to what Digital Video Technology is and what it can accomplish. Students explore career paths involving Digital Video Technology - the obvious applications in TV, film, and social media, as well as the less obvious applications, such as education and training, performing arts, and sports management.
All students are expected to take and pass the following industrial certifications:

Students who master the content of Level 2 are invited to continue their learning in the Digital Video Studio. Together with their peers, they will operate the studio, producing video content for a variety of purposes. They bring campus and community clients in for filming, but are also assigned to attend and film campus events. Students in these sections of Levels 3 and 4 also produce their own short films for adjudication.
Students who master the content of Level 2 and are interested in sports media and management are invited to continue their learning in the Digital Video Studio producing for the LB Sports Network. They collaborate with Patriot Athletics to film campus sporting events, produce sports-related digital media, and create original sports-related short-films.
Students who master the content of Level 2 and are interested in campus fine and performing arts or creating their own art content are invited to continue their learning in the Digital Video Studio producing for the Arts Brantley Network. They collaborate with Lake Brantley Performing Arts to film campus events, produce arts-related digital media, and create original artistic and experimental short-films.
Ambitious students with strong digital film production, collaboration, and communication skills are invited to join the Short Film Festival Studio course. They will work with a team of student designers from other tracks to create animated and/or live action short films for submission to the Lake Brantley Short Film Festival and other adjudication opportunities.
These courses introduce students to the technical and creative skills for Interior Design.
Level 1 introduces students to what Interior Design is and what it can accomplish. Students explore Interior Design as a career path, including other areas where Interior Design knowledge and experience could be applied, including marketing, real estate, film, and stagecraft. Students are expected to earn their Word Press Certified Editor certification and begin their digital professional portfolio.
Level 2 deepens students' understanding of the skills and technologies of the industry. They master Adobe Visual Design.
Level 3 develops students into pre-professional designers, creating their own designs for imagined spaced and also working with campus-based clients to create designs for classrooms, offices, and student spaces.

Through this option for Level 4, students will sharpen their skills by creating their own designs for imagined spaces, as well as collaborate in a professional internship on a design for an off-campus client.

They will work with a team of student designers from other tracks to create animated and/or live action short films for submission to the Lake Brantley Short Film Festival and other adjudication opportunities.
