To graduate with a High School Diploma in the State of Florida, students must meet the following requirements related to Performing Arts:
1.0 Credit in Performing Arts, Fine Arts, or eligible CTE courses
All of the courses found on this page fulfill this requirement.
The Lake Brantley Chorus is a diverse, supportive community of students dedicated to making beautiful music! Joining Chorus is an outstanding way for students - regardless of their past experiences with singing - to get involved, make friends, and find a new passion!
All students in the Lake Brantley Chorus should understand the following expectations:
There are several major time commitments:
Afterschool rehearsals
Evening and weekend performances
Performances off-campus, sometimes out of state
Individual at-home practice is required
Students are assigned by the director to one of many ensembles based on their experience, abilities, and ensemble needs.
Students are required to pay annual participation fees and engage in fundraising to support Chorus activities
There are standards for behavior and personal grooming required of all participants to create a cohesive, high-performing ensemble.
Important Note: One of the greatest strengths of the Lake Brantley Chorus is that students are encouraged to participate in other campus activities, including athletics, other performing arts, and leadership and service groups. Students who have other obligations are not expected to prioritize Chorus, but they are expected to coordinate with the director and manage their time responsibly.
There are several concert ensembles to which students are assigned based on their vocal part, experience, skills, and abilities. In the Spring, all students interested in an Advanced Ensemble participate in auditions for placement. Audition is not required for the Standard Ensembles.
Encore is relatively new to Lake Brantley High School. A fun, inclusive Show Choir, students combine singing and different genres of choreography and theatrical staging to create memorable performances. Enrollment is limited.
Depending on enrollment and student interest, audition may be required. This will be announced in the Spring after Pre-Registration.
In collaboration with the Lake Brantley Academy of Creative Design and Entertainment, the Lake Brantley Chorus is excited to announce the next chapter of ForteFy! Starting in the 2025-26 School Year, ForteFy will become a Voice Studio focused on individual vocal techniques.
This class is intended for students who aspire to sing professionally, whether in the commercial music industry, musical theatre, professional opera, or in the Central Florida entertainment and tourism industry. Auditions will take place in the Spring.
Students may not Pre-Register for this program. Interested students should Pre-Register for the Chorus class appropriate for their grade.
