Sometimes, students fail to meet the requirements to receive credit for a course they need to graduate. When this happens, they have three options for recovering that credit.
Summer School - on-campus June of each year using Edmentum Credit Recovery
Virtual School - SCVS or FLVS scheduled and facilitated on their own time
Senior Credit Recovery Lab - on-campus Edmentum Credit Recovery available only to those in their 4th Year of high school
Summer School takes place Monday-Thursday of each week in June every year. Any student who is behind in their progress towards meeting their graduation requirements is automatically recommended to participate in Summer School. Registration will open in May.
Important Note: While not all students are required to participate all 16 days if they finish their Credit Recovery early, anyone who intends to participate MUST be present on the first day. Speak with your School Counselor if you have questions about Summer School.
Students may retake classes through Seminole Virtual School or Florida Virtual School. For more information, go to Virtual School.
Important Note: Virtual coursework is not for all students. School Counselors may deny enrollment for virtual school courses if they are not appropriate for a given student. Once enrolled, Lake Brantley staff cannot assist with the completion of the courses.Â
Students in their fourth and final year of high school who are behind in their graduation requirement coursework will be automatically enrolled into the Senior Credit Recovery Lab for one of their elective periods. There, they will catch up through Edmentum.
