The substitute daily pay scale is listed below. If you have additional questions regarding your pay, please reach out to HR (hr@responsiveed.com) or your home campus supervisor for clarification. If you did not upload your transcripts during the hiring process and you have a bachelor degree, please submit them in TalentEd Records. To do so, login to TalentEd Records (TalentEd Login), click on “Available Forms" on the left hand side of the page, then click on "Transcripts - Current Employees
Short Term Subs cover a position on an as-needed basis or for less than 10 consecutive days.
Long Term Subs cover a position for more than 10 consecutive days, not on an as-needed basis. The long term sub pay starts on the 1st day of the long term sub assignment.
Long Term Subs are considered full-time employees and cannot be shared between campuses. Once their long term assignment has ended, a Staff Change form should be submitted to revert them back to a Short Term Sub.
Assignments are based on campus need. As a substitute, you will need to log into Red Rover (the substitute management system) to accept available assignments. If you already have a Red Rover account, you will need to create a new one with the email invitation we send out in order to accept sub assignments with ResponsiveEd.
You can email redroverhelp@responsiveedtx.com if you would like to merge your Red Rover accounts. Your hiring campus can also choose to have you sub for hourly employees, which requires you to clock your hours in Skyward.
If you are subbing for a teacher or a nurse, you will need to set up your Red Rover account to accept assignments. Once you are set up in a district, you will be able to be notified of all jobs at all of the RES campuses in the district, not just the ones at your hiring campus.
Please see the Red Rover Basics guide below for more information on the system. If you are subbing for an hourly employee at your hiring campus, your campus will contact you directly.
How are long-term assignments offered to substitutes?
Long-term assignments are assigned based on campus need. If you are now a short-term substitute, the campus leader will need to submit a Staff Change form to change your position to long-term.
Do I receive an RES email and badge?
Substitutes do receive an RES email, but will not receive a badge.
I would like to sub for both hourly employees and teachers. How does that work?
Your hiring campus can choose to set you up with a temporary aide assignment that lets you clock your hours in Skyward when subbing for an hourly employee for that campus. You must have a temporary aide assignment to sub for hourly employees.
I recently received my bachelor's degree. How do I submit that to HR?
You can submit your official transcripts in TalentEd Records. Login to TalentEd Records, click on “Available Forms” on the left hand side of the page, then click on “Transcripts - Current Employees”. HR will review your transcripts and determine if your pay needs to be increased.
I’m scheduled to work a half day at a campus. How much will I be paid?
If you are subbing for a teacher or a nurse, you will receive your full daily rate. If you are subbing for an hourly employee, you will receive your hourly rate for the hours worked.
I was hired as a substitute nurse. How much will I get paid?
Nurse substitutes only sub for campus nurses. Their daily rate is determined by the hiring campus, and is based on the campus budget.
