Presented by The University of Waterloo, the Beaver Computing Challenge (BCC) is a 45-minute, online, multiple-choice contest designed to introduce students to computer science concepts and problem-solving techniques. This contest has been designed to foster interest in computer science and provide students with an opportunity to showcase their computational and logical thinking skills in a fun and engaging way.
It's an excellent opportunity for students in Grades 6-10 curious about technology and problem-solving, as it develops critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance. Participants gain confidence in their computational thinking skills, and high performers are often recognized with certificates and awards, motivating further exploration of the field.
