Grassroots Boston Trip

Our goal was to raise money for food and clothing for the 8,000 homeless people who live in Boston annually. We continued this club that was started by Robson Borge in 2015, and gained momentum with Blake Leasure in 2016.

'20 Grassroots Boston Trip

  • We had weekly/bi-weekly meetings to get people participating in the club informed so they could help out.

  • We sent people to local businesses to ask for donations to auction off, but we only got nine donations, so we decided to do a raffle instead of a silent auction.

  • We sold raffle tickets for the raffle.

  • We gave out thank you letters to all the local island businesses that donated

  • We had a successful trip to Boston and made a lot of homeless people very happy.

  • We had help from the Interact club when it came to clothing donations, but besides that it was all our club members who really made it possible.
