All three of us have an interest in the science field and have taken many advanced science courses including AP Chemisty and AP Biology. During AP Biology we watched the movie Concussion and read the published work by Dr. Omalu. We chose the topic of concussions because we wanted to explore it in more detail. Many people have preconceived notions about concussions so we wanted to correct any misconceptions they might have.
Each of us is planning to study something in the medical field in our futures. Moira will major in Cell and Molecular Biology with a pre-med track at John Carroll University. Gayatri will major in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences at Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University. Kate will major in Biomedical Engineering at Bucknell University.
