We are a group of AP Language and Composition students (Pictured: Louis Fanien farthest left, Edward Brustoloni middle left, Matt Schrage middle right, and James Hagerty farthest right) who have studied rhetoric extensively. We breathe in the presence of Mr. LaQuatra, a long practiced and studied rhetorician. With AP Language and Composition, we have a greater understanding of what it means to complete valid research and construct effective rhetoric. Additionally, as a group of milennial teenagers, we bring a first-hand perspective of the social media issue and are well-acquainted with modern technology.
Matthew A. Schrage: VT 2022
I am an 18 year old AP Language and Composition student, and I have Twitter and Facebook accounts that I use frequently. I care a great deal about the protection of my data and wish to inform readers of the possible abuses of their information by social media companies and the implications that come with having a social media account, as are discussed throughout this site.
Louis Fanien: Pitt 2022,
I am a 17 year old student in AP Language and Composition. Despite this being my first year in an upper-level English course, I have become aware of the many uses of rhetoric in an everyday setting. I am a casual user of social media, but I use my phone almost constantly, and through research in this course have learned that protecting my privacy on the web is important. I pay some attention to the news, and am now even more concerned with the status of user privacy due to the recent scandals that have occurred.
James Hagerty: CMU 2022
I am a 17 year old student who is in Mt. Lebanon High School's AP Language and Composition class. I am very well versed in social media (namely Instagram and Twitter), research, and writing. I also have a competent understanding of and concern for contemporary domestic issues like those of the facebook scandal (and all social media privacy matters), compelling me to make a good website on the topic.
Eddie . Brustoloni: Pitt 2022
I am an 18 year old student in AP Language and Composition. I use social media quite frequently, often browsing Instagram, Reddit, and Twitter. I care about issues surrounding privacy, and try my best to stay up-to-date. Although individual power is limited in this area, I want to nonetheless inform the public about what is happening to their privacy.
