While there are many different media platforms that influence the kids and teens of this generation, the music industry has proved to always affect the opinions of the listeners from the 60’s to present day. In recent years, the issue of police brutality has sparked interest in many artists who have or have had ancestors face oppression. For them, their music is an outlet to express their opinions on police brutality, obviously creating a massive following due to their popularity and influence through teens musical outlets. The need to spark interest, conversation, and change towards police brutality through their music is an influential way to push listeners to be aware of the Black Lives Matter movement and decide where they stand.
